The Samson MB48 features two 24-inch-long spring-loaded arms that can be positioned for a total combined distance of 48 inches. The MB48 is a universal microphone boom arm designed to make positioning microphones easy. It mounts to desks or other surfaces up to three inches thick with an included C-clamp. Hold any microphone with a 5/8 "-27 mic clip that weighs up to 5 pounds in any position. Microphones are designed to be at a certain distance from an audio source. For instance, many USB PC cardioid mics are intended to be within 3-6 inches (or about the size of a fist) away from a person's mouth while speaking in a normal tone. It's hard to position a microphone perfectly when using the standard tripod desk mount that typically comes with them. The Samson MB48 gives up to 48 inches of freedom to move your microphone around your space as needed. Make sure your microphone is in a perfect position every time. If your microphone isn't positioned correctly, your audio could suffer from fluctuations in volume, fading, and cracks and pops from moving. Your audience doesn't want to hear you adjusting yourself.
